Saturday 11 November 2022 – Cheltenham November Meeting – Day 2

POSTING FRIDAY 11 NOVEMBER AT 23:00 – HENCE PRICES MAY BE DIFFERENT IN MORNING.

1235: Medyaf leaps off the page, with the only caveat being the Skelton yard having a rough run of form of late, albeit slightly improving over the last 14 days, this is plainly factored into the price and after Nicholls continued to motor yesterday, the drifting price looks worth a play.

The horse is proven over distance and on the going and if the yard was not having the time it was, I would have expected it to be at least half the price.

13:10 – Bobhopeornohope is the selection, the Kim Bailey yard from a small sample size has a 40% strike rate in the last 14 days, Bailey has a 22% strike rate with returners in November. The Henderson horse Valsheda was nigh on identical to our selection on ratings, hence logic dictates the larger price is the first play but Valsheda is also a play.

7/2 2pt ew – Valsheda

13:45 – Staying with the Henderson theme, the withdrawal of Monmiral makes Pentland Hills an even more attractive option, we will be expecting the pace over hurdles translates to chasing.

Pentland Hills 5/1 2pt ew

14:20 – Stolen Silver for Sam Thomas and Sam Twiston Davies jocked up is the selection, this race prefers a front running style and the trainer is good with last time out winners (26% strike rate), in addition we will back Simply the Betts for Nicholls and with David Maxwell taking off 3lbs.

Stolen Silver 6/1 2pt ew

Simply The Betts 16/1 1pt ew

14:55 – Shearer scored for us at Cheltenham for their Opening meeting in October and no reason why he cannot follow suit again today. If able to show the same speed that was seen last time out, nothing in the field should get close.

4/1 2pt ew

15:30 – Getalead at a big price is our opening selection in this competitive looking hurdle, down in weight and with the jockey taking off 5lb, certainly one to hope is a tad more prominent but should be in the mix come the end. We will also back Bourbali who has a proper front running style for Joe Tizzard (who had a winner yesterday).

Getalead 20/1 0.5PT ew

Bourbali 20/1 1pt ew
