A horse that’s has been in and out of racing, finishing 3rd of 4 on reappearance,however successful the time out before that and from a yard (Nicholls) that has a 20% strike rate on horses first run in a handicap (over hurdles). A small plat at a big price.

Killer Kane – 1425 – Newbury

The Tizzard yard, recently lost Cue Card, a horse of a lifetime for owner and trainer alike, whilst Killer Kane is not up to the standard of his former stablemate, he could well reward punters today, proven over distance and warmed up recently over shorter, a horse that won a class 1 and placed in another at Aintree last year (over distance) is a nice looking price today, if primed for this.

The Pauling yard had a heck of a day yesterday and Malinello looks overpriced. Successful when last scene at Newcastle and with Luca Morgan taking off 3lb the horse is back to a weight where it was impressive at Market Rasen, around this time last year. Proven on going and over distance, let’s hope our final selection ends 2022 in style.
