Sunday 13 November 2022 – Cheltenham Day 3

I’m aware of problems with the post uploading due to WordPress. Sorry if you’ve missed out.

Sunday – not much worked in our favour yesterday, the Skelton yard is one to avoid as even their horses who look handy cannot get home, Stolen Silver and Shearer were backed into heavy favouritism only to get into trouble mid race.

Bourbali was a ray of something placing in the last but it really has been a frustrating start to the meeting.

As to today, we focus on HQ

13:10 Haute Estimate in the opener looks the obvious, with Derek Fox on board and due to the withdrawal of Mister Coffey – no bet.

13:45 – Nube Negra is 1/14 – Daly Tiger at 22/1 is the most likely to do something should the favourite fail.

14:20 – Does He Know for the in-form Kim Bailey and David Bass atop, is the answer in this handicap chase. Up in weight due to the rise in class, he is the standout horse in the field. The horse knows the course, can handle the distance and likes the firmer ground (currently Good) having been succesful last year in the October meeting and coming second last year in this race.

14:55 – I Like To Move It for the Twiston-Davies team is the selection, the horse has been successful twice out of the three runs at the track (over distance) and he will have been prepped for this very race.

8/1 2pt ew

15:30 – She is Electric is the bet over from Ireland for Norman Lee in this supreme novices hurdle trial, the two last starts at Gowan Park and Ballinrobe respectively set some standard. Expect the horse to be held up in mid-division and presented before the penultimate hurdle.

15/2 2.5pt ew

16:00 – Roger Pol showed the very best form we have seen so far out of all of these when successful at Worcester. Trainer Jamie Snowden has a good record of doubling up on last time out winners, 25% and is our play today.

9/2 2pt ew
