Reviewing yesterday, Enigmatic our second selection of the day, placing at a drifting 14/1 ensured a slight profit on the proceedings. Turning to today, ahead of York next week, we will see who has plot or two in play today, although small fields plague the racing landscape on first review.
14:30 – Zechariah is one for multiples today, at 7/4 no single bet but should have the beating of market rival Away He Goes, favourably weighted today.
14:35 – Quantum Realm for Elliot and Bowen at Perth looks to have the beating of these, the 6/4 reflects the favour in the market.
14:41 – Doncaster
Lullaby Bay down in class and penalised with weight, the 3 year old for Karl Burke has carried this before to victory at Thirsk. Burke is operating at a 26% strike rate over the last 14 days and our selection is taken to beat the favourite, Tees Spirit.

Emperor Spirit for Archie Watson looks tucked away at a nice price, impressive speed figures when seen last time our over distance at Ascot (his Chelmsford run excused due to the ground) and carrying over a stone more than today, a run to that standard would ensure ours is in the mix come the finish. The horse has a keen front running style but plenty of pace to get out and not be for catching.

Pogo, arguably one of the horses of the season, from a story-telling, perspective, should have the beating of these. Chindt will be delighted not to see Baeed’s backside but we’ve seen Pogo find more in the final furlong and keep going, running to anything like the standard we have seen this season will be too much for the field today.

16:10 Rechercher wins and wins well today if able to run to the same standard when seen last time out at Newmarket. Speed figures for her last two runs are a good 20% ahead of anything else in the field, no price at 2/1 for a single but one to consider for multiples.
16:15 – Perth
Elliot & Bowen again, operating at over 58% when combining at Perth over hurdles, bring Britzka back out, having scored last time out at Perth over 2 miles.
The trainer over course and distance is currently nigh on 35% and the jockey, 40% over the same metric.
