Good Morning, Cheltenham held is penultimate meeting of the season and we did well, ever so close to another big day, but for Mullenberg (who was backed into odds on) being beaten by the seemingly very promising Queens Gamble at 16s. The defeat cost us a double and the win part of a nice treble but we ended up nigh enough even on the day with the David Pipe trained Panic Attack scoring for us.
As to today, the All Weather Championship day, has been moved to Newcastle from it’s previous home, Lingfield. Once one of my favourite days of the year and a great day to attend, let’s see if it takes off in Newcastle as it did down south, all the way back in 2014 and beyond.
Newcastle
13:30 – Dark Moon Rising in the opener, has taken to the surface prepped at Chelmsford (note the change from Lingfield) and has speed figures to strike.
Dark Moon Rising 5/2 3pts ew
14:05 – My Oberon, is potentially the best horse at Newcastle today, a globetrotter not long back from Dubai and the World Cup meeting. He is plainly if in form the one to beat.
Tempus 9/1 1pt ew
14:35 – We will back both Karl Burke horses who is fancied to have a big day today, Spycatcher and Lord of the Lodge.
Spycatcher 4/1 2pt ew
Lord of the Lodge 11/1 1pt ew
15:10 – We do the same in this race as well backing both Burke runners.
Kaboo 7/1 1.5pt ew
El Caballo for the multiples
15:45 – Highfield Princess should take all the beating will add to our multiples.
16:15 – Earlofthecotswolds who has taken to his change of code incredibly well is the one for us in the marathon.
Earlofthecotswolds 4/1 3pt ew
16:45 – United Front 17/2 1pt ew
Multiples
Dark Moon Rising & My Oberon 8.6/1 2pt ew
El Caballo & Highfield Princess 7.5/1 2pt ew
El Caballo & Highfield Princess & Earlofthecotswolds 40/1 1pt ew
