A day of oh so nearly but with an interesting performance by East Street, who despite finishing out of the places, is worth the tracker, finishing very well and looking to want the step up in trip.
As to our double, the first obliged Valsheda given a confident ride by James Bowen and the second horse, Coolnaugh Haze led for 7/8 of the race before emptying and being beaten by a horse that preferred the ground in the straight.
I was asked do I back the horses in the doubles as singles and I often will the more fancied one to cover the stakes (as in Valsheda yesterday) but I will not suggest prices at that end of the market as you can find those yourself etc and make your own decisions.

Sedgefield 15:17 – Zafar, in a win double with the above selection, 2pt win.
