A day to forget as the Christmas gifts, family and leftovers are to be taken down to cash convertors to cover for yesterday’s showing, Bothwell Bridge did his best to fall at the first but managed to do so at the second in a rather abject show of jumping, knocking off all multiples (notably, Bravemansgame and Epatante won…)
Lord Du Mensil came second in a thriller at 33/1 which could have turned the day around but in truth, nothing came close, with the King George won by a big outsider after all the market contenders, got caught up in the ferocious pace set by Frodon and Minella Indo.
Anyway, it’s the Welsh National and Shishkin is out in the Desert Orchid so perhaps we will find some winners today.

13:20 – Edwardstone upset the odds when victorious in the Tingle Creek and should oblige again today, in a small field, a chance is taken on Do Your Job who fell at Sandown and on pure figures this season could be the main threat.
