The International meeting at HQ begins today, two fantastic days of racing ahead of the Christmas season beginning in earnest no matter what the restrictions.
Cheltenham
12:05 – Novices Hurdle
In the opener, the favourite looks opposable, in a fairly open race, we will back the Snowden/Sheehan, DATSALRIGHTGINO on ratings he has ran to a higher speed rating than all of these, winning last time out at Fontwell.
Datsalrightgino 9/1 1pt ew
12:40 – Handicap Chase
The presence of Barbados Bucks is of some concern for our selection, as he has been well campaigned by Nicholls and is clearly a horse he has in mind for a big pot down the line. However, the favourite looks solid in this, down in weights, successful at Aintree a few weeks back, he should have too much for these.
Corach Rambler 5/2 4pt ew
13:15 – Handicap Hurdle
We will back a few in this:
Robinshill 16/1 1pt ew
Castel Gandolfo 9/1 1pt ew
13:50 – Mares Handicap Chase
The favourite looks well primed for this, Fontaine Collonges despite carrying top weight, her most recent victory at Warwick over Precious Eleanor is instructive and with the weights reversed in favour of the latter, we will back her hoping another good run should be enough to overturn fortunes.
Precious Eleanor 15/2 2.5pt EW
14:25 – Handicap Chase
Mister Fogpatches comes over having raced well in Ireland, Danny Mullins rides, with all the attention on the returning Santini and the Nicholls/Cobden mount, perhaps he is being overlooked especially as he has performed well on both Good and Heavy.
Mister Fogpatches 5/1 2.5pt ew
15:00 – Cross Country Handicap
Back on the Lash successful at course and distance last time out, with only a small rise in the weights is fancied again today we will also back Singing Banjo with the jockey taking off 7.
Back on the Lash 11/2 2.5pt ew
Singing Banjo 17/2 3pt ew
15:30 – Handicap Hurdle
Onagatheringstorm has continued to bang on the door, placing twice at the last two meetings at HQ, a big run is expected again with a slight drop in the weights hopefully proving enough to finish on top today. We will also back, Kansas City Chief, victorious at the Course in October (placing in November) and with Victoria Malzard taking off 7, a smart ride should ensure he is in the mix at the finish.
Onagatheringstorm 9/2 2.5pt ew
Kansas City Chief 12/1 1pt ew
Multiple
Corach Rambler (1240) & Precious Eleanor (1350) 2pt ew
Corach Rambler (1240) & Singing Banjo (1500) & Onagatheringstorm (1530) 1pt ew
