Well, nice to return with a bang.
We had 3 winners, 2 places (the last race 2nd at 50/1) and the double landed paying at over 30/1.
Over 40 points profit yesterday, not a bad start to the season. If you were on and successful feel free to chuck us a few quid from the front page via the links, as it was nice to see the blog getting good views.
Apologies for the shorter write-ups today, time a ticking before I head to the course.
Cheltenham
12:30 – Juvenile Hurdle
KNIGHT SALUTE is the selection, the Milton Harris yard has a 45% strike-rate from a small sample size but is clearly in form at present. The horse was successful at Kempton and Sedgfield on his seasonal reappearance. Paddy Brennan on board is an obvious positive.
Knight Salute 4/1 3pt ew
13:05 – Handicap Chase
Minella Encore once more, successful on reappearance in a small field. Luke Scott takes off 5 bringing it below the weight last time out, Dr Newland will have him primed for a big run and he is the main selection.
Pontresnia is our second selection in the race, as he looks too big at the prices considering the profile as does Bermeo.
Minella Encore 5/1 2.5pt ew
Pontresnia 22/1 0.5pt ew
Bermeo 25/1 0.5pt ew
13:40 – Novices Chase
One to watch, however at the prices, Mick Pastor would be the bet, although I suspect the favourite, Third Time Lucki will be too good for these and should go on to bigger and better races.
14:15 – Paddy Power Gold Cup
Proketektorat 15/2 2.5pt ew
Midnight Shadow 10/1 2pt ew
Simply the Betts 16/1 1pt ew

We will back both Valentino Dancer & Onagatheringastorm for Fegal O’Brien.
