That was a very good week, whilst I am spending tomorrow and into mid-week to tidy up the P&L, the Dante meeting and a couple of nice plays over at Newbury and Newmarket yesterday, ensured the week ended on handsome profit.
We made roughly 70 points profit from Wednesday, with Thursday being the only non-profitable day sandwiched in between two cracking days for us.
Yesterday was pretty special, Concierge over at Newbury landed at 12s, at Newmarket both of our selections won at 6s and 4s respectively. Spanish Mission then landed the big one at York for us at 9s with decent place money for other selections topping up a grand day.
In other news, the blog can now be accessed via http://www.horsesforcourses.tips
I finally upgraded my settings.
I have had a few people ask to make a donation/payment when a good day of racing is had, thank you very much for this, I have therefore set-up a Donation button.
Please feel free to send me a few beers if you have a good day, as I hope we all do, I will shamelessly rattle the tin when we do well, it defaults to £25 but you can donate anything you like, no pressure and all contributions greatly welcomed
Disclaimer: All payments are handled via Stripe, so are secure and no details are collected on this end, as this is a plug-in for WordPress.
As to next week, fortunately a quieter week racing wise, I will therefore ensure we are up to date P&L wise.
Please feel free to share the blog with others and remember, I back them all, take it steady and enjoy.
Saturday
Racing today at Newbury, Newmarket and Doncaster of interest.
Newbury
13:50 – CREATIVE FORCE is fancied over the favourite, Tactical, carrying 7 pounds less than when last seen at Newmarket to good effect, only Spycatcher has got close, pure pace wise to our selection, expect the Karl Burke horse to get out and set fearsome fractions for ours to benefit from at the line.
CREATIVE FORCE 5/2 3 points each way
14:25 – I prefer Logician out of those towards the top of the market, however at a bigger price , the Andrew Balding trained Ranch Hand appeals, down in the weights from his All-Weather successes in the spring, with the Balding yard hitting form and landing the big-one yesterday for us over at York, he is a worthy play despite their only being 2 places on offer.
Ranch Hand 11s 1 point each way
15:00 – KING FRANKEL appeals a winner over distance when scoring in a Maiden at Pontefract, a huge step-up is required today but carrying nearly a stone less than when last seen, a big run is expected today. Greystroke is also a selection, again down in the weights and with SDS on board today.
KING FRANKEL 6s 2.5 point each way
GREYSTROKE 17/2 1.5 point each
15:35 – The season is set out in front of Palace Pier or so we are told, his price for the Lockinge stakes certainly suggests this is a formality. However at a big price Safe Voyage for Jason Hart leaps out of the form book, carrying ten pounds heavier today than when last seen successfully at Leopardstown, his fractions compare well with the favourite. Further, our success with O’Brien horses this season (Mother Earth and Snow Fall) have been when we went against the anticipated wisdom, hence we will be with LOPE Y FERNANDEZ just in case their are any cracks in the favourite today.
SAFE VOYAGE 16/1 1.5 point each way
LOPE Y FERNANDEZ 6/1 2 points each way
16:10 – A race full of unexposed types and one in which I would normally be tempted to watch and nothing more, however, ONE JOURNEY for Roger Charlton won and looked like potentially something special when last seen at Newbury over a mile last October, if she has trained on I would expect an impressive performance today and the price is handsome enough for our interest.
One Journey 17/2 2 points each way
Newmarket
14:40 – Bellosa should more than take this, no single bet due to the price.
Double with Creative Force (1350) 9/1 3 point each way
15:15 – In what will be an enthralling mad dash, BICKERSTAFFE is the selection having performed well on a variety of ground at 5f and 6f, whereas the others towards the top of the market may prefer the ground on the firmer side.
BICKERSTAFFE 13/2 3 point each way
Doncaster
19:05 – Roseabad for Mark Johnston looks to be a tad ahead of the handicapper at the moment and should take this.
Treble with Creative Force (1350) and Bellosa (1440) 29/1 – 1 point each way
19:35 – Choritzo for Loughnane is an attractive price and should go well, plum drawn from 1 and having set a good clip when last seen at Newmarket, if he was from a bigger yard he would be half the price.
CHORITZO 9s 1 point each way
