A Bank Holiday Monday with weather more akin to the clocks going back, rather than the delights of spring, the Monday concluded a long weekend where as a whole we have done very well, Strawberry Jack stood out as the best winner with Zaffys Pride running well over at the Curragh but not quite able to hang on.

As to this week, Chester it is, with a P&L to be uploaded in full from when the blog started in 1 January.

Nothing above Grade 3 on the Flat today, with a Jumps meeting over at Ayr, which suits the weather of course.

A few lesser quality fancies below:

Lingfield

12:30 – Subliminal with SDS on board and carrying nigh on a stone lighter than when last seen in admittedly lesser company, he had a fine run at Lingfield last year over distance and seems ignored in the market today.

Subliminal 9/1 1pt ew

14:30 – Swiss Pride should be too much for these, however at 15/8 no bet.

15:05 – Four Adaay at least handles the surface, the Jim Crowley ride Mutasallem has only been seen over at Wolverhampton and may not take to Lingfield.

Swiss Pride & Four Addaay double 10/1 1.5PT ew

Wolverhampton

18:00 -Bonnie Lad has the best speed figures out of all of these and if ridden a tad more prominently should hit the frame at a nice price.

Bonnie Lad 12/1 1pt ew

18:30 – A 1/3 favourite in this race kicks out all the prices and none more so than Tantastic, if the fav is good he should hose up, however we have seen it happen before if so let us hope ours is ready to pounce and at least place if not more.

Tantastic 10/1 1pt ew

20:30 – Some Nightmare is up a few pounds from his best performance but that run at the track over 6f when victorious, indicates the slight step up in trip should not be an issue. The O’Shea yard has a nigh on 30% strike rate from a handful of runners over the last month and this one is fancied to go well.

Some Nightmare 9/2 2.5PT ew
