Good morning,
Welcome to the end of the Jump’s season 2020/2021, what a season we have had with Harry Skelton pipping Brian Hughes in the jockeys championship.
Selections today and then P&L end of season review over the next couple of days before attention switches to the flat and the Guineas meeting.
Sandown Park
13:55 – HERBIERS is significantly down in the weights, setting speed figures consistently this season over hurdles better than all of these when carrying a stone more than he does today. Proven over C&D he is the selection.
HERBIERS 10/1 1PT EW
14:30 – Frodon wins but no bet.
15:05 – Altior returns for the Henderson yard, a stop-start season for this once great champion, who will be seeking to put the naysayers behind him, however it is hard to be interested in a horse at 9/4 who has been out nigh on all season and who looked a shell of his former self over Christmas when last seen.
PUT THE KETTLE ON has done nothing wrong this year and probably should be favourite, not much of a price but sure to get round and if the great champ is not what he was, expect the girl to get the job done.
Greanateen for Nicholls/Frost is also a selection
PUT THE KETTLE ON 5/2 3PT EW
GREANATEEN 8/1 1PT EW
15:40 – CROSSPARK has been doing this all season, he stands out being tried and tested over course and distance and despite carrying top weight, you couldn’t have a more consistent horse.
We will also back the YOUNG MASTER down in weights.
CROSSPARK 14/1 1PT EW
THE YOUNG MASTER 28/1 0.5PT EW
16:15 – ON THE BLIND SIDE for Seven Barrows is the selection, a winner for us earlier in the year and proven over course and distance and down in the weights. Only 2 places less than ideal but the price makes it worthy of a strike.
ON THE BLIND SIDE 7/1 2PT EW
16:50 – no bet.
17:25 – FLOATING ROCK is the best of the day, massively down in the weights, he should give these a heck of a fright, proven over distance and is ready for a big run according to Mark Walford
FLOATING ROCK 11/2 4PT EW
