After an incredibly profitable Cheltenham Festival (in excess of 100 points profit), we roll onto Aintree.

The Grand National is but two days away.

As to today’s racing, we have Tiger Roll in a Grade 1 Chase and some familiar faces from the Festival, however plenty of horses swerved HQ for Liverpool.

13:45 – ELDORADO ALLEN for the Tizzard yard stands out at 13/2, the yard has a comparatively torrid season, with Colin handing the reigns over to his son at the end of the year, however Cheltenham was promising and things have begun to work again, the price reflects the struggles the yard has had however it should be more like 7/2 in my opinion. Second to Shishkin on multiple times this season, he will be pleased not to see that horses behind.

14:20 – The top of the market is dominated by Monmiral and Adagio, I am not quite sure why the latter is not favourite after his performance at Cheltenham, however at 11/10 and 11/8 respectively we will swerve.

If one of the market principles struggles, expect Fiveandtwenty to pick up the pieces and at least hit the frame.

FIVEANDTWENTY 11/1 1PT EW

14:50 – In the big meeting of the day, the Betway Bowl Chase, Native River and Mr Fisher stand out at the prices, if the Cheltenham Festival has not taken too much out of the former, a replication of that performance and/or his dominant Sandown win earlier in the season will be too much for these.

Mr Fisher is stepping up in trip but has been yearning for the opportunity for a good season or so now.

NATIVE RIVER 11/2 2.5 PT EW

MR FISHER 6/1 1.5PT EW

15:25 – The Betway Hurdle, Henderson held back Buveur D’Air for Aintree, whilst disappointing at Haydock in very heavy ground, his fractions were still solid from a pace perspective, to back the former champion at 7/1 (4 places) seems sensible.

Buzz also trained by Nicky is the second selection – the fav, Jason the Militant is very good but the price has gone.

Buveur D’Air 7/1 1pt ew

Buzz 11/1 1pt ew

16:05 – BILLAWAY cruelly pipped (one of the excruciating seconds on a good Friday at the Festival) is the selection.

Billaway 3/1 5PT ew

16:40 – A very open race, with the top of the market all questionable either having not seen out the trip, not enjoyed the ground or having other asterisks agains them.

Brenlan D’as looks very big for JP at 40/1 as does The King of May at 22/1

Brenlan D’as 40/1 1pt ew

The King of May 22/1 1pt ew

17:15 – a race in which the well fancied Eileendover should hack-up, before a season on the Flat.

However for singles purposes, we will back the Skelton fancy Elle Est Belle and Heartbreaker who looks massive at the price.

Elle Est Belle 11/4 3pt ew

Heartbreaker 40/1 1pt ew
