As a guide, take it steady for a month or so on the Flat, plenty of horses that showed promise last year will do little as a 3year old, backing anything that is unproven and on pedigree alone can sometimes lead to heartache (at the shorter end of the market).
By the time the Guineas roles around in May the form will be where we need it to be and the ground nice and true. It isn’t the jumps but it is bloody good fun all the same.
