No harm done at all yesterday, sadly the front-two in the market dominated our selections which were big outsiders, however our 2 point win bet on Blackjack Kentucky ensured we broke even for the day.
Racing at Exeter, Lingfield, Warwick and Wolverhampton today.
Exeter
13:30 – DOLPHIN SQUARE stands out, his front-running style should be used to full affect , he performs well in the spring, historically carrying more weight than today and with the favourite a tad shaky (although very low in the weights) he is a great each-way play.
DOLPHIN SQUARE 15/2 1PT EW
14:35 – Nothing of interest.
15:10 – Right at the top of the weights Christmas in April stands out as does Petite Power at the bottom of the weights, both are consistent performers and the latter being for the in-form Fergal O’Brien yard.
CHRISTMAS IN APRIL 11/1 1PT EW
PETITE POWER 20/1 1PT EW
15:45 – Nothing of interest (will be interesting to see if Panic Attack can bounce back)
Lingfield
14:20 – Oslo looks off a good mark, down to 9.0 and a consistent performer, well drawn out of stall 6, he has carried a good few pounds higher when running to a standard that should give his rivals plenty to think about.
OSLO 13/2 1PT EW
Warwick
15:20 – Nothing of interest.
15:53 – CLAIMANTAKINFORGAN has nigh on always looked the part when back over extensive lay-offs, this one of over two years would be Nicky Henderson’s finest achievement with the horse. On previous form this horse would be favourite, however with such a lay-off, we need to bear in mind the risks and that is factored in with the price.
However, 9/1 seems to big and it is worth a play.
CLAIMANTAKINFORGAN 9/1 1PT EW
19:45 – Nonthorpe Boy has been on a heck of a run of late, going for the 4-timer and up a pound after his success last week however, Final Voyage looks the part and is carrying less weight than prior successes and would be the nod but for the price, no bet.
