A good day yesterday, Rockadenn winning at 9/1 followed up by Tadleel over at Newcastle at 12/1 all but resetting our position.

Turning to today there is racing at Southwell, Ludlow and Doncaster of interest.
Southwell
14:05 – TAWNY PORT is of interest, the horse enjoys itself at the course and over distance and it’s most recent speed figures at Kempton and Southwell (when carrying higher weight) should trouble all of these, Mulzim is the obvious worry but should our selection settle in and pounce in the final furlong I would hope we can be in the mix.

16:45 – nothing of interest.
Doncaster
14:20 – The Late Legend towards the bottom of the weights looked the part when winning at the course earlier this year, crucially carrying the same weight as today. Igor has had two false starts already this year and needs to be right to succeed today and it has been a long while since Gleno has performed at the weights.
If the Late Legend can dictate from the front and settle into a style that strings out the others, let’s hope he can see off Minella Encore who is carrying top-weight in the race and always seems to struggle when carrying anything above 11.4
THE LATE LEGEND 7/2 2PT EW
15:30 – Nothing of interest, Rocky’s Treasure would be if he drifts out beyond 4/1 (currently 3/1).
16:05 – MR SCRUMPY is of interest, simply the wrong price for a yard in-form as is Supakalanistic who set impressive speed figures relative to the rest of this group last time out when carrying heavier.
