A reflective post yesterday, nearly sprung to life with our very first selection of the day Fantastic Lady cruising at 8/1 at the off for Nicky Henderson and Nico DeBoinville , monies were being counted, spirits were lifted, it was trading on the Betfair Exchange at 1.08 (yikes) and it stacked it at the final hurdle, leaving the race to be won by a 40/1 winner.
Sickening, that is racing however…
Good on Jonjo Jr however for a great day yesterday, a yard in good form.
We then had a close second over at Kempton, with Sanaadh outrunning the odds once again, a day that could have been so much more, but heck, that’s racing, if we are on enough horses at these prices we will turn a profit (remembering to stake properly – see yesterday’s post).
Onto today, Jumps continues at Wincanton, shorter write-ups today as busy…

13:35 – Nothing of interest in the opener, the Nicholls horse looks the best of those towards the top of the market.
14:10 – Darlac and Commodore are simply the wrong prices in what looks an open chase, Shantou Flyer deserves to be atop the market but is up in weights against the rivals at the top of the market, Ballycross is further fancied, a full stone lighter than the favourite.
