Nothing yesterday for us Class 3 or above and today, only one race over at Newcastle on the All-Weather with the weather playing havoc with the fixture list, a quieter weekend expected (thankfully) than last week but we would expect to have a few selections all the same.

Looking back on our week, we have done well, landing some big prices and some impressive each-way money, none more so than YOUNG TURK who valiantly ran the race of his career at odds of 150/1 (advised at 100/1) to snaffle some each-way money and give the well-backed favourite, Cyclops a scare.

Let us look back at what I said about YOUNG TURK:

Young Turk is also a selection, at a 100/1 and once trained by Joseph O’Brien and Gordon Elliot he was at one point thought of by someone to be a relatively useful sort, pulled up in all 3 races at the back-end of last year, so he may be just absolutely hopeless, but equally in the Summer he won at Tramore at 28/1 so maybe, just maybe…

A tidy return indeed, to go alongside, winners this week, at advised prices of 9/1, 7/1 (bigger SP) and of course we were beaten by the shortest of nose hairs when on San Seb collecting each-way money at 11/1.

Trust the process, a nice start to the year, it will not always be this rosy week by week but over a period confident we will be up.
