We wake up to the third National Lockdown, with the focus now on rushing to distribute the vaccine to all, fortunately for racing fans the BHA have confirmed that Horse Racing remains but behind closed doors, we await the news from HQ, that the FESTIVAL will have no attendees.
No racing yesterday above class 3, hence we look today to two races at Kempton on the All-Weather.
Kempton
18:15 – The favourite Rock Eagle for Ralph Beckett, is a worthy favourite, currently 7/4, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a contraction before the off. Two horses however interest me against the fav, Who Dares wins trained by Jumps trainer, Alan King whilst at the top of the weights has posted very good speed figures, most recently at Newcastle in mid-December. With Richard Kingscote on board they have a trainer/jockey record performing at a 15% strike rate.
The other of interest is Stargazer towards the bottom of the weights, he also posted a good speed figure in the same race at Newcastle, our other selection raced in.
WHO DARES WINS 11/1 0.5PT EW
STARGAZER 14/1 0.5PT EW
18:45 – In contrast to the previous race, I am not too keen on the favourite at the prices, Aberama Gold, 85/40, with STREAMLINE for Clive Cox a two time winner, including at Kempton on 7 September 2019, hence whilst he has not ran for a while, he historically ran to a very hide standard and at 7/1 he is a clear solid bet, another selection is BRIAN THE SNAIL, trained by Richard Fahey who had him in a rich vein of form at the end of last year, at 9/1 he is simply too big a price, having ran a speed figure comparative to what is in my opinion a week favourite.
STREAMLINE 7/1 1PT EW
BRIAN THE SNAIL 9/1 1PT EW
